Vehicle year and condition. A 2018 Camry rents for less than a 2022 Camry. Older cars also have more breakdown risk, which is why some operators discount them and others avoid them entirely.

Driver included. All Muvment rentals come with a vetted, professional driver as standard. In Nigeria, this is the default expectation for car rental, and it removes the headaches of Lagos traffic, security deposits, and personal liability. The driver cost is built into the daily rate, not added on top.

Fuel arrangement. Some quotes include fuel for the standard 12-hour day; others don’t. Always confirm.

Outskirt fee. Our pricing covers most central city areas. However, trips involving outskirts locations like Sangotedo, Ikorodu Town, Festac, Badagry, or Alimosho will attract additional charges. The fee reflects the longer travel times and logistics involved in serving those areas.

Geographic coverage. A car for “movement within Lagos” is cheaper than one cleared for interstate trips. Going outside Lagos (to Ibadan, Abuja, anywhere) typically adds a per-kilometer or per-trip surcharge.

Insurance type. Comprehensive cover with low excess costs more upfront but can save you millions if something happens.

Security deposit. A small refundable deposit may be requested for high-value vehicles or specific use cases. Reasonable deposits range from ₦100,000 to ₦500,000 for standard cars and ₦500,000 to ₦2,000,000 for luxury vehicles. Anything significantly above this should be questioned.

Cancellation fees. We charge up to 50 percent if you cancel within 24 hours.
